The Cyrkle, an east coast band, was managed by Brian Epstein and opened for The Beatles during their 1966 U.S. tour. Their song Red Rubber Ball hit #2 on the Billboard charts the same week in July 1966 that The Beatles’ Paperback Writer was #1.
